The mayor of Seville, Antonio Muñoz, has attended today the presentation of the second edition of the A1 Padel Sevilla Master -previously called APT Padel Tour-, which will return to Las Setas de la Encarnación between March 6 and 12. The best professionals in this specialty will participate in this event in a unique space such as the Metropol Parasol Plaza Mayor, which will be equipped with stands and sports equipment. The event has the collaboration of the Seville City Council through the Municipal Institute of Sports, IMD.
“This event, which for the second consecutive year hosts a unique space such as Las Setas, joins the international competitions that position and consolidate Seville as a City of Sports”, highlighted the mayor during the presentation, which took place held at the Real Círculo de Labradores in Seville and in which he was accompanied by the president-founder of A1 Padel, Fabrice Pastor. In this sense, Muñoz has emphasized the city’s ability to organize all kinds of events thanks to the list of facilities, the added tourist, heritage and cultural offer for visitors or the public services that the city offers and recalled that The city’s sports agenda this year will have an economic impact of almost 200 million euros and a calendar of more than 200 competitions.
This professional circuit was promoted at the beginning of the year 2000 with the aim of improving competitiveness worldwide with large tournaments and important prize pools as well as with the improvement of infrastructures, and for this it has the support of the Continental American Padel Federation ( CAPE) as well as the European Padel Federation.
The Competition Will Feature The Main Figures of World Padel
At the sporting level, the competition will feature the main figures of world padel led by the ranking leaders and defending champions, Maxi Arce and Franco Dal Bianco. The best Sevillian exponents of the circuit will also be present: Javier Pérez, José Luis González, Manu Begines, Santi Pineda or Juan ‘Coquito’ Zamora, among others.
A1 Padel will begin shooting from February 13 to 19 with the second edition of the Cape Town Master, in a season that will feature tournaments on four continents and will have at least 18 tournaments announced so far, with the possibility of increasing this number in the coming months. The competition will reach new countries, such as the United States, where two appointments are announced: New York and Miami. It will also return to Sweden and will take place for the first time in Panama, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil and Dakar.
