Rees-Mogg apologizes for comparing doctor to anti-vaxxer

U.K. House of Commons Leader Jacob Rees-Mogg has apologized for comparing Dr. David Nicholl — a neurologist who contributed to the Yellowhammer Brexit impact report for medicine supplies — to the disgraced anti-vaxxer Andrew Wakefield.

Rees-Mogg called Nicholl “as irresponsible as Dr. (Andrew) Wakefield,” in the House of Commons Thursday, following a clash between the pair on LBC radio earlier in the week. Wakefield authored the debunked study linking the MMR vaccine to autism.
