Freddie Ljungberg delighted to return to Arsenal as U23 head coach
Freddie Ljungberg says he is really excited to return to former club Arsenal as U23 head coach.
The former Sweden international spent almost a decade at Arsenal, playing over 300 games for the Gunners and winning two Premier League titles and three FA Cups.
He coached Arsenals U15 side and worked at Wolfsburg last year, gaining experience as assistant coach in the Bundesliga.
Im delighted to be returning to the club, he told Arsenals official website.
The club have always been a special place for me and Im really excited at this opportunity to work with our under-23 team.
I look forward to working with the talented young players we have at the club.

I know many of them well and will work hard to help them continue developing and become the best players and people they can be.
Arsenal academy manager Per Mertesacker added: Its great to have Freddie back at the club.
He brings great footballing experience and the highest possible levels of enthusiasm, energy and encouragement for our young professionals.
He understands the clubs values and how important it is to give young players the opportunity to grow and develop.
When Freddie left for Wolfsburg it was with the clubs blessing and with a return to Arsenal some day in mind.
