Matthew Renshaw to fly to South Africa to join Australia squad

Matthew Renshaw will fly to South Africa this evening after being added to Australia's Test squad in the wake of the ball-tampering scandal.

Renshaw, who is taking part in Queensland's Sheffield Shield final against Tasmania in Brisbane, will head to Johannesburg ahead of the fourth and final Test beginning on Friday.

Cricket Australia is expected to make an announcement about its investigation on Tuesday (South Africa time).

Australia captain Steve Smith was stood down as Australia captain for the remainder of the third Test against South Africa, before being handed a one-match ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Vice-captain David Warner was also removed from his position on the fourth day in Cape Town.

The ICC did not ban Cameron Bancroft, instead punishing him over the ball-tampering charge with a hefty fine and three demerit points.

More to come.
